Used a limb falling as an excuse to pick up something powered and tool like. It works quite well.

What’s the torque like? The only electric saw I’ve used before was a 240V Stihl which had plenty of pull and really didn’t want to bog down in the wood, but I wondered whether a 24v(36v?) unit would lose that power?

is that electric
why
stihl 880 is only real saw

Where does the gas go?

It is. It's not something I'd need to use often and I don't have anything else that's 2 stroke so fuel would go to waste. That and compared to a 2 stroke it's basically silent.

yeah but can you do this

If you're in the deforestation business, I'd agree.

That poor, beautiful tree...

It’s a 40v. Cut through the oak limb with no issue and took out a privet “tree” that was growing through the fence.

Wouldn't be my first choice. Just sharpening the chain is a huge chore, never mind lugging the damn thing around all day.

yeah but the thing is, stihl 880

But I don't need to do that. That and I'm pretty sure that costs a lot more.

I’ve been to the factory where they make those. Sthil’s game is absolutely class-A. they make EVERYTHING that goes into those saws, even the SCREWS and bearings. Absolute quality and materials control.

Yeah. Mine was $200

Nice. I used one recently and it was great. Also just having to deal with bar oil was also great.

Yeah. It's self lubricating unlike the smaller one. No mixing or paying for premixed 2 stroke fuel. I'll probably get the trimmer too since my gf wants one.

Totally. I bet it has a heck of a lot more torque than my 2 stroke. The one that sits because I have to make 2stroje fuel.

It won’t work like a Still 066.

Mixing and then having 2 stroke fuel sit is why I went electric.

Nope. Sure won't.
